Conditions for Participation

[Translate to Englisch:]

§1 Registration
Written registration is required for all programs offered by the Björn Schulz foundation. These can be transmitted via email, fax or mail. Registering obliges an individual to participate and pay all required fees. All participants will receive a written confirmation of registration. Registrations will be considered in the order they are received. Registrations should be sent no later than four weeks before the start of the program in question.

§2 Waiting Lists
Should there be more registrations than there is space in the program, a waiting list will be started. Should a space free up, then those on the waiting list will be allowed to register. Those who join the waiting list receive a waiting list number to confirm their interest in registering.

§3 Participation Fees
Participation fees are to be paid once the bill is received. If an installment payment plan is available, payments can be arranged before the start of the course. Participants who pay this way are expected to provide direct debit details so money can be withdrawn directly from their account.

§4 Cancellation
(1) Cancellations have to be submitted in written form.
(2) No costs will be incurred if cancellations are submitted more than eight weeks before the event. There will be a 50-percent charge for cancellations up to three weeks before the event. Shorter term cancellations will require full payment of costs. Alternatively, a substitute participant can be found who can take part in the event.
(3) Costs will not be recompensated if a participant cannot attend all or parts of a program due to illness or other unforseen events.
(4) A change of the announced presenter or attendees does not allow one to cancel out of an agreed registration.

§5 Liability
The academy of the Björn Schulz Foundation does not accept any liability for damages incurred by participants while under way or during the event brought on by accidents, harm or loss/theft of property.

§6 Minimum Participation/Cancellation
The Björn Schulz Foundation reserves the right to cancel an event if an insufficient number of people register to participate. If a presenter has to back out, the academy of the Björn Schulz Foundation may name a subsitute presenter. If this is not possible, the event will be cancelled. Scheduled participants who have already paid will then be recompensated in full. The Björn Schulz Foundation will then have no other obligations.

§7 Data Protection
Personal data can be gathered during the course of the education program and saved and automatically processed. The information will not be passed on to third parties. If no objection is voiced, the data will be stored permanently and used so further program offerings from the Björn Schulz Foundation can be shared.

§9 Severability Clause
Should certain conditions of these participation requirement become null and void, that will have no effect on the functioning of the other clauses. In such cases, the parties have the right to reframe the invalid clause or to make an addition to the contract so that it still fulfills its functions without the invalidated conditions.
